Program at a glance
The ABC Program is organized around a 48-week curriculum after intake and acceptance. Participants begin group participation at enrollment while also completing weekly individual orientation sessions during Weeks 1-4. This model helps clients enter the accountability culture immediately while receiving individual support for expectations, disclosure boundaries, supervision coordination, and group integration.
After the first four weeks, participants continue through ongoing group participation, curriculum assignments, accountability presentation, phase reviews, individual sessions as clinically indicated, and supervision coordination when authorized or required.
Standard components may include
- Initial screening and in-person assessment
- Weekly group session, typically 90 minutes
- Individual orientation during Weeks 1-4
- Monthly or clinically indicated individual sessions thereafter
- Weekly curriculum modules and accountability presentations
- Assessment-informed treatment planning
- Polygraph and drug/alcohol screening coordination when required
- Monthly officer reports and immediate notification for reportable concerns when applicable
The 48-week phase structure
Phone screening, assessment, consent/release paperwork, risk/need review, accept/deny decision, and initial coordination. Phase 0 is pre-enrollment.
Weekly individual orientation plus concurrent group participation. Focus includes expectations, accountability language, supervision framework, and beginning the personal offense-cycle map.
Offense awareness, grooming, secrecy, minimization, denial, thinking errors, and early accountability practice.
Emotional regulation, sexuality/fantasy work, victim impact foundations, and offense-cycle deepening.
Victim impact, sexual self-regulation, concrete relapse prevention, relationship behavior, and lifestyle integration.
Crisis planning, reintegration, self-managed accountability, maintenance planning, transition planning, and completion readiness.
Evidence-informed foundations
The program integrates CBT, Risk-Need-Responsivity, the containment model, relapse prevention, self-regulation concepts, Good Lives Model principles, and stages-of-change awareness. These frameworks help translate assessment findings into practical treatment targets and supervision-relevant communication.
Completion is not just time served
Discharge readiness is based on documented completion, behavioral change, offense-cycle integration, compliance stability, and transition planning. The goal is self-managed accountability, not simply attendance.
